That was the advice a business formation lawyer gave me back in 2017 when I was launching my first company – a post-construction cleaning business – and I had no idea of what I was doing on the paperwork side. Those words have always stuck with me. I realized early on that you can be the best at your craft, but without a solid financial foundation, you’re building on sand. Since 2018, I’ve dedicated my career to being that foundation for other contractors.  

With a career built at the intersection of small business operations and institutional fiscal management, I provide specialized bookkeeping for the trades in the San Juan Islands. Since 2018, I have served as a financial backbone for small business contractors. Continually leveraging my personal experience as a business owner in the construction and maritime sectors.

Currently serving as a Fiscal Specialist for the University of Washington, I manage complex financial operations and compliance at the Friday Harbor Labs campus. I pair this institutional rigor with the practical, hands-on knowledge required to run a boat charter business and contracting company alongside my life partner. I am dedicated to providing contractors with the "big picture" financial clarity they need to scale safely and remain compliant.
